Glenn Carter was born on 27th March 1964 in Staffordshire, England and grew up in Liverpool. He is an actor, singer and songwriter.

He has appeared on London's West End stages in numerous productions such as: Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chess, Whistle Down the Wind, Les Misérables, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He also reprised his role of "Jesus" in the filmed stage production of Jesus Christ Superstar, directed by Gale Edwards. This new production revived the show on Broadway, where Carter also played Jesus. His Broadway performance, although shortlived, earned him a Drama League Award.

Carter's most recent roles have all been in repertory theatre at the Derby Playhouse, his most recent role as "Buzz Aldrin" in "Moonlanding".

He also played roles in the TV shows "The Bill" and "Doctors".

He has released three albums: "Three Miles High", "2wice Around The Sun" and a "Glenn Carter fan club" CD, comprising 4 songs.

On 28th February 2008, Carter will perform the role of "Tommy DeVito" in the London premiere of the musical, Jersey Boys.
