Born in Australia, Nicholas Cunningham trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. After completing an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts, he was awarded the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship for Dance 2005/2006. He then began his careerwith a move to Paris in 2005, to dance at the renowned Bal du Moulin Rouge.
In 2006 Nicholas made his debut on the West End in
the Tony Award winning musical "Movin' Out",
directed and choreographed by Twyla Tharp.
Most recently Nicholas joined Matthew Bourne's company NewAdventures in 2006, and started an international tour of "Swan Lake", which closed this year after performing in 7 different countries worldwide.
While performing professionally Nicholas has appeared in television adverts such as "McCains" airing on ITV and Channel 4, as well as an ad campaign for Orangina.
Recently he performed for Her Majesty the Queen at the opening of Terminal 5 Heathrow.
He appeared on the Cover of Dancetrain Magazine
Australia, and was a featured artist in Dance Australia
Magazine.
Most recently Nicholas was in a revival of
La Cage aux Folles and the Menier Chocolate Factory
London.
Currently Nicholas is a Freelance
Dancer/Singer/Actor working as an Assistant and creating a
Modelling Portfolio.Sel_End
